How it works
In the Event of a building Fire Alarm
These actions should be taken to ensure your safety

Step 1 
Occupants will go to the door to ensure that it is safe to leave the unit.
Provided there are no signs of smoke or fire, evacuate the building immediately via the emergency exits.
DO NOT USE THE ELEVATOR. If your building has a voice public address system, follow directions given by safety personnel.
Step 2
If the door is hot or there is any indication of smoke in the hallway, do not open the door. Slide the Lifestick under the door to alert rescue personnel of your location
Step 3
Call 911 and make operator aware of your location
Step 4
Wait for Emergency Rescue Crew.
